Opieko is a two-sided marketplace connecting families organising care with independent, qualified specialists. Opieko does not provide medical services — it is a technical intermediary.

Opieko is for adults (18+) arranging care for themselves or a loved one. Opieko is not intended for arranging care for minors.

Specialists provide their type, professional licence number (where applicable) and declare OC insurance. Our team may grant a “Profile Reviewed” badge after checking documents.

Payment is handled securely in the app once the specialist confirms the visit.

You can request deletion of your Opieko account and its associated data at any time — even if you no longer have access to the app. Fill in the form and we will email you a confirmation link. Once you click it, a 14-day grace period begins, during which you can still cancel by signing back into the app.

Complaints about a completed service should be reported directly to the caregiver or specialist — their contact details are on their profile in the app — or via the dispute function available for a paid booking. Complaints about the platform or app itself can be sent to kontakt@opieko.pl. Full rules are described in the Terms of Service.

Not always. Basic caregiving services (Individual Account) can be provided under an unregistered business (działalność nierejestrowana). The legal revenue limit for this is 75% of the national minimum wage (which is 3,499.50 PLN per month as of Jan 1, 2025). As long as you stay under this limit, you do not need to register a business or pay ZUS contributions. However, for medical professionals (Business Account), a registered business is mandatory.

Yes. Opieko.pl operates as a technical intermediary (marketplace). All payments are processed by a licensed national payment integrator (TPay), supervised by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF). Your data is protected in compliance with GDPR and the DAC7 directive.

Registration and maintaining a profile are completely free. Opieko adds a platform commission to the final price of completed bookings. As a caregiver, you receive exactly the amount you priced your service at. Additionally, the payment gateway commission (TPay fee) is refunded by the Opieko portal on a monthly basis.

The platform does not automatically add a mileage fee. As a caregiver, you define your own operational area where you provide services. When setting your prices, you should factor in your average travel costs within that chosen zone.

Billing is based on the completion of specific services (e.g., "Dressing change", "Patient hygiene", "Home rehabilitation") rather than an hourly rate. You select the procedures from our catalog and set your own fixed prices. The client pays upfront for the requested package of tasks.
